Juan David Córdoba migrated from Colombia to Miami at 19 to follow big professional and personal dreams. He has a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in International Business from Florida International University, and has achieved several Insurance and Risk Management Designations. Now, at the age of 27 he holds the Construction Risk Insurance Specialist and Associate in Risk Management designations.  
 
Juan started his professional career at a small local independent insurance agency as an Information Technology Assistant and later discovered bigger opportunities as an insurance broker. From 2006 to early 2009 he worked as a Business Development Executives for HUB International, the third largest privately-owned insurance broker firm in the U.S.
On June of 2009 by the guidance and help of Richard Rodriguez (Wells Fargo of Florida’s Vice President) he got the opportunity of a life time by moving to Wells Fargo Insurance which is the largest Florida Insurance Agency and the 4th Largest Insurance Broker Firm in the world. At Wells he oversees programs for medium and large size construction contractors, manufacturing and wholesale companies.  
 
Juan joined LBA two years ago through his firm’s membership. Following Bernie Navarro’s advice, he became a chair of the Membership Committee and, later on, Latin Builders Association’s first junior director. He believes the LBA has been key for his career and personal growth.
 
“The LBA and the junior director position opened the doors for me to learn from all the great leaders on the association’s board,” Juan explains. “I have made unbelievable friends and I feel I can call the LBA ‘my second family”.
Juan plans to continue focusing on his career and serving in all of LBA’s activities.
