Mario Garcia-Serra | Directors

Mario Garcia-Serra is a fourth year associate with the international law firm of Greenberg Traurig, P.A., one of the ten largest law firms in the United States.

Mario specializes in local government law, particularly land use / zoning / and development law. He has represented various major developers before local government boards and regulatory agencies and has had extensive experience with the governments of Miami-Dade County and with nearly all of the municipalities within Miami-Dade County including the City of Miami, Coral Gables, Miami Beach, North Miami, and Aventura as well as regional agencies such as the South Florida Regional Planning Council and the South Florida Water Management District. Mario has been involved in obtaining the necessary development approvals for major high rise residential condominium projects and single family home developments with certain of these projects numbering in the thousands of residential units.

Due to the nature of his work, Mario is extensively involved in local politics and has served as a fundraiser for various local elected officials. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Latin Builder's Association, a local real estate development and construction trade association. Mario received his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Political Science from Harvard University in 1998 and his law
degree from the University of Miami in 2002.
